Is your club ready to finish the Rotary year strong—and earn $500 to kickstart next year’s service or engagement efforts? The “Final Stretch” Membership Contest is on, and your club could come out on top. Click ‘read more’ to learn how to win and make every member count!

As we enter the final quarter of the Rotary year, District 6910 clubs have a powerful opportunity to end strong—and start the next Rotary year even stronger. The “Finishing Strong Membership Contest – The Final Stretch” is now underway and runs through June 30, 2025. The goal: reduce member attrition and keep our clubs vibrant, connected, and growing.
The contest rewards clubs that successfully retain their members during this crucial period. In each size category—small, medium, large, and extra-large—the club with the lowest attrition rate will win $500 in cash, to be used for a community service project or member engagement initiative in the next Rotary year. Winning clubs will also receive special recognition in August during Rotary’s Membership Month, along with a celebratory presentation highlighting their success.
To compete, clubs don’t need to do anything special—just focus on keeping members engaged and active. The winning formula is simple: the fewest member terminations between April 1 and June 30, divided by the club’s total membership as of July 1, 2024. In case of a tie, net membership growth in Q4 and overall growth for the Rotary year will serve as tiebreakers. Only ‘Active’ members will be counted in the contest, and results will be based on official data from Rotary International.
Clubs will also get credit for any new members joining impact clubs, service clubs, satellite clubs, or companion clubs during the contest period. And to keep the momentum going, we’ll be sharing tips, best practices, and success stories along the way.
Winning clubs will be asked to submit a brief proposal outlining how they plan to use their prize money, followed by simple documentation once the funds are spent. Creativity is encouraged—just make sure your plans align with either community service or member engagement.
This is your club’s moment to rally, retain, and rise. Let’s finish the year strong and set the stage for an even more impactful year ahead.
