As the 2024-2025 school year comes to a close, Interact Clubs across Rotary District 6910 wrapped up another incredible year of service and leadership with a special celebration at the District Interact Conference, held on March 22, 2025, at the JA Discovery Center in Cumming, GA and recognize outstanding Interact students through our annual District 6910 Interact Scholarships.
The annual Interact District Conference brought together 15 Interact Clubs representing a wide variety of schools—large and small, public and private, and even a homeschool group—all united by the spirit of Rotary and a commitment to “Service Above Self.” The day was packed with opportunities for students to reflect on their accomplishments, collaborate with peers, and get inspired for the future.

A Day of Learning, Sharing, and Connecting
We started the day with Icebreaker Bingo, allowing students to quickly and comfortably meet other students and Rotarians in a friendly environment. This activity helped set a positive and welcoming tone for the conference.
Each Interact Club gave a five-minute presentation highlighting the projects and initiatives their club worked on during the past year. Clubs also participated in breakout sessions, where students shared project ideas, discussed challenges they faced, and collaborated on new service ideas for the future.
The conference also featured inspiring keynote speakers:
- NFL Referee Alan Eck shared his personal journey, reminding students of the power of perseverance and dedication.
- Dr. Ken Crowe, Executive Director of the University of North Georgia’s Cumming Campus and a proud Rotarian, spoke about the value of leadership and service in the college admissions process.
- AG Nipuna Ambanpola introduced students to Rotaract, encouraging them to continue their Rotary journey into college and beyond.

Students also learned about exciting opportunities through RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) and the Youth Exchange Program, sparking plenty of enthusiasm for further involvement.
Serving Others, Together
This year’s conference service project focused on giving back to the community. Students created:
- Thank-you cards for NICU nurses
- Encouragement cards for NICU parents
- A gift basket of treats and thank-you notes for Forsyth County 911 Dispatchers
The event closed with a team-building challenge where students worked in mixed groups to build the tallest tower possible using spaghetti, marshmallows, and tape—a fun and fitting way to celebrate collaboration and creativity.

We also took time to recognize outstanding Interact students through our annual District 6910 Interact Scholarships.
