Rotary District 6910 is pleased to announce a NEW opportunity for District Clubs!
These needs-based scholarships will provide funds to eligible individuals for study at a Georgia public institution of higher learning, including colleges, universities, and technical colleges, who are nominated by District 6910 Clubs. We ask for your assistance in identifying and sponsoring eligible students.
The purpose of the Rotary District 6910 Education Scholarships is to forge a link between Rotary and the development of skilled professionals. Rotary District 6910 is prepared to award needs-based Education Scholarships to qualified applicants with a one-time award of $2,000 to one student per Rotary Club for a total of five (5) scholarships awarded annually, not to exceed $10,000.
District 6910 Rotary Clubs are asked to seek qualified graduating high school students and encourage them to prepare the Rotary District 6910 Education Scholarship Application.
We seek to identify candidates who:
- Possess excellent leadership skills and potential,
- Have demonstrated a personal commitment to community service,
- Have well-defined and realistic goals,
- Have concrete ideas as to how to make academic advances within a career field, and
- Are sincere about maintaining a lifelong relationship with Rotary. Note: This scholarship program is not to be confused with, and is separate from, the Global Grants Scholarship Program that is sponsored also by Rotary District 6910 and The Rotary Foundation.
