Ready to Lead? District 6910 Seeks Nominations for the 2029-2030 District Governor

Leadership in Rotary is about more than wearing a pin or holding a title. It is about inspiring others, strengthening clubs, and creating service opportunities that leave a lasting impact in our communities and around the world.

Rotary District 6910 is now accepting nominations for the 2029-2030 District Governor, offering qualified Rotarians the opportunity to serve in one of the most rewarding leadership roles within our organization.

As the official representative of Rotary International within District 6910, the District Governor provides leadership, guidance, and support to clubs throughout the district. The role also serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Board Chairman of Rotary International District 6910, Inc., helping shape the future of Rotary across North Georgia.

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible, candidates must:

  • Be a member in good standing of a functioning Rotary club within District 6910.
  • Have served a full term as President of a Rotary club.
  • Have been a Rotarian for at least seven years as of June 30, 2029.
  • Demonstrate the commitment, leadership, and ability to fulfill the responsibilities of District Governor.

How to Submit a Nomination

Nominations must be submitted by a Rotary club within District 6910.

The nomination period opens July 1, 2026, and closes at midnight on August 28, 2026.

Each nomination package must include:

  • Rotary International Governor-Nominee Designate Data Form
  • Rotary District 6910 Candidate Information Sheet
  • Candidate’s Rotary résumé
  • Candidate’s professional résumé

Completed nomination packages should be emailed to rotaryfleetwood@gmail.com no later than midnight on August 28, 2026.

What to Expect

Eligible candidates will participate in an in-person interview with the District Governor Nominating Committee on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at the Rotary District 6910 Office in Gainesville, Georgia.

Interviews will last approximately 45 to 60 minutes and will explore a variety of leadership and Rotary-related topics. Candidates will receive their scheduled interview time no later than September 4, 2026.

Following the interviews, the Nominating Committee will select the District Governor Nominee Designate and notify the selected candidate within 24 hours.

The 2029-2030 District Governor selection process will be guided by an experienced committee of Rotary leaders:

  • Chair: Immediate Past District Governor Jessica Fleetwood
  • Committee Members: Past District Governors Bobby Hildreth, Brandy Swanson, Gerry Taylor, and Mike Berg
