The Rotary Club of Winder had the pleasure of partnering with other community organizations for the Barrow County School System’s Back-to-BOLD, a community partner event.

Citizens, businesses, and organizations from around the county came together to provide more than 2,000 backpacks filled with school supplies for Barrow County kids ranging from Pre-K to High School Seniors. Winder Rotarians helped collect the backpacks as well as distribute them. In addition to school supplies, the event also saw 1,000+ pairs of shoes distributed to Barrow families, plus free haircuts and immunizations. The event was a prime example of the impact communities can make when they Unite for Good!
We were proud to have Winder Rotarians work with school system employees and play crucial roles in the event. BCSS School & Community Relation Specialist, Ellen Petree, helped organize the event and Apalachee High School principal, Jessica Rehberg, opened the school’s gymnasium to host Back-to-BOLD. Barrow County School Superintendent, Dr. Dallas LeDuff, was in attendance and assisted in making sure everything went off without a hitch.
